Description

Every new and renewing Iowa notary public must have an official Iowa notary seal or stamp.  The notary stamp is universal since it has all the required elements and it is also photographically reproducible. 

Iowa Notary Stamp Requirements

Iowa law requires notaries public to use a notary stamp.

For a notary commissioned by the Secretary of State, the stamp MUST include: (1) the notary’s name, (2) the words “Notarial Seal” and “Iowa”, (3) the words “Commission Number” followed by your commission number, and (4) the words “My Commission Expires” followed by the expiration date or a blank line to write in the date.

For a public official, the stamp MUST include: (1) name, (2) the words “Notarial Seal” and “Iowa”, and (3) the title under which the person may perform notarial acts.

Iowa Notary Stamp Types

PSI stamps are made from recycled plastic (50%).  They use low emissions manufacturing practices.  They last twice as long as a traditional self-inker.  They feature laser print quality impression (300 dpi).  They are re-inkable indefinitely.
