State-Approved California Notary Training Course

The California Notary Training Course is the best alternative to a live notary seminar there is.  All new California notary applicants or renewing notaries must take either a 6-hour or 3-hour notary course.  This course fulfills the requirement for new and renewing California notaries.

Instructor Andy Johnson will take you through the materials in engaging  on-demand video instruction.  Past students rave about how he makes learning notary laws and responsibilities as fun as possible.

Upon completion of the course each enrolled student will receive a Certificate of Completion download to show proof that he or she is well-versed in California notary law and practices and has successfully fulfilled the required 3-hour course for renewals or the 6-hour course for new notaries or notary renewals that have expired or will expire prior to taking the California notary exam.

The 3-hour notary renewal certificate unlocks when all topics have been completed and the student has spent 3 hours in the course.

The 6-hour new notary certificate unlocks after the student has gone through the whole course, and has spent 6 hours in the course. Go through each page of instruction, watch the videos, and study the handbook and state laws.

To get credit for your time, you have to be logged in and actively interacting with the course. We do not issue course refunds after 60 days from the date of purchase.

    It by far answered all my many questions before I even needed to ask. I was just in all my thoughts!     Overall Great! Convenience and information is all there. One bit of feedback – on actually taking the Notary Exam questions were phrased much differently than on the final quiz. Examples in this course’s Quiz were several “Which of the following” or “What best describes” whereas on the actual test the questions were more examples – “John is A. John does B. Is John at fault”, “Jane becomes a notary. What will Jane need to do X?” – This threw me off on the actual test and I would recommend updating or incorporating this into the Final Quiz. I really can’t complain too much about this because the course was otherwise a great experience! Thank you!

    Andy was great! He took some pretty dry material and made the course easy to get through. Great focus on the necessary concepts, good use of humor, and very easy to follow.     Good course–I enjoyed the little bits of dry humour, made it easier to get through. Make sure to especially review the fees and penalties section as this information comes toward the end of the course but the “real” test focused quite a bit on it. I passed the test although I did not score as well as I did on the practice exams. But passing is passing–just pay attention, do a little bit of extra studying, and you should be good to go 🙂

    I took this course the day before I took the test. So, how’d I do on the test?No idea if I passed or failed, as I’m still awaiting my score. However I did feel confident; Andy actually says (in these videos) what’s going to be on the test and sure enough, he wasn’t fooling around. I feel as if I passed, who knows- when I do I’ll post that too or update this review.

    I’ll say/write this… you won’t fall asleep watching, as Andy’s somewhat animated and entertaining! All in all Andy’s very informative and after this course I feel as if this isn’t just informative but necessary if you want to be a notary public … here in CA anyway.

    I highly recommend Andy and this course; once you go through it I believe you’re going to feel the same-= the info in Andy’s course is vital to passing the test, and working as a notary public. 🙂

    I have worked with Andy Johnson for over 15 years. I hate to “re-take” the Notary course, however….each time I take it I realize how much I FORGET over the previous 4 years!!!

The course was great in covering everything that ended up being on the exam. I wish I would have found more information in terms of establishing myself as a Notary, but with the actual substance it is excellent.     I just passed the Notary test, thanks to Andy Johnson and his course. I enjoyed his sense of humor and funny antidotes for an otherwise dry subject. I took the practice tests 3 times. The great thing about this course is you have access to the practice tests and all the information as long as you need it. You can take breaks, and when you log back in, you can continue exactly where you were. The only ding I will add is the actual test questions were so different than the test questions. The State test definitely tries to confuse you. I was very surprised that the actual test seemed to concentrate more heavily on questions referring to the penalties and fines, which to me, are not as important as the process and procedures.
    I also really appreciate the opportunity to purchase all the Notary supplies through this site conveniently. One-stop-shop! Thanks again, Andy.
