Illinois Notary Stamp

Each Illinois notary must have an official Illinois notary seal or stamp.  The notary stamp is universal since it has all the required elements and it is also photographically reproducible. 

Illinois Notary Stamp Requirements

An Illinois notary stamp must contain:

1. A serrated or milled edge border in a rectangular form not more than 1 inch in height by 2 1/2 inches in length

2. The words “Official Seal”

3. The notary’s printed name

4. The words “Notary Public, State of Illinois”

5. The words “Commission No.” followed by the notary’s commission number

6. The words “My Commission Expires” followed by the notary’s commission expiration date.

Illinois Notary Stamp Types
