We apologize if this looks like an ad, but we didn’t know how else to relay this info.
Are you a notary in any of these states?
Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Oregon, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, or Virginia.
If so, we need to activate you as an e-notary on DocVerify so that others can find you when they require e-notarizations. All you need to do is to create a new free account at https://www.docverify.com, and also get activated as an e-notary by filling out our notary application. If you apply before July 31, 2014, and enter promo code “eNotary” when you fill out the application you will receive an additional 50% off the one time set up fee.
If you are not in one of those states, you can still create a free account, and enter your notary information in order to also be included in our notary directory for free.
Note: some states require additional things such as courses, applications, verification, etc. in order to become an e-notary in the state. Our online help has this information available after you sign in.
Notaries in states not listed in the previous post cannot enter their notary information for free, contrary to what the post says.
With our free account, any notary can automatically choose to include themselves in our notary directory for FREE.
The only time a notary must pay is if they want to upload documents to be e-notarized and/or if they want to use our e-journal system. There is a one-time setup fee for every new notary that wants to perform e-notarizations or to access the e-journal system. The set up fee includes an ID verification as we must be sure you are who you say you are, activation in the e-journal system, and everything else the notary needs to get started performing e-notarizations such as certs, seals, stamps, etc. (some states require the purchase of an additional certificate from specific providers).
If you just want to be included in the directory where people can search for you using our notary locator tool… that’s free.
